- Purpose - To test if there is any stress at sealing area
- Criteria - Change in glass or electrode material
- Testing Procedures
| Step 1 - |
Leave the test lamp for 2 hrs at 25±2°C, 35~85% R.H. windless environment and then measure the lamp voltage, starting voltage, brightness and chromaticity. |
| Step 2 - |
Lamp soaks in 100°C for 20 sec., and soaks in -190°C Liquid Nitrogen for 20 sec. Repeat the procedures for 20 cycles. |
| Step 3 - |
Place the lamp for 2 hrs in 25±2°C windless environment and then measure electrical characteristics, brightness, chromaticity and starting voltage again. |
- Acceptance Criteria
Lamp is able to lit.
Lamps are not broken, or damaged.
Appearance has no significant changes, deformed or decolorized.
Starting voltage: Increase must be < 10% of initial value.
Brightness: Above 80% of the initial value.
